I am seeing abnormal traffic in my logs from Googlebot. Why is that?
You will have to make the decision - Either disallow the robots (like Googlebot) from some or all of your images and pages, upgrade your hosting option or server, or pay for more bandwidth. You must decide if the cost of the bandwidth is worth the benefit that having all of your pages and images listed in Google brings.
I am using a Wireless Business Solutions (WBS / iBurst) connection and can not send mail, why is this?
WBS / iBurst have decided to block all outgoing port 25 (SMTP) traffic. Port 25 is the port assigned by the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) for SMTP traffic and is the worldwide standard. Please contact your connectivity provider for a solution.
What is your current server uptime?
We have managed a server uptime of 99.9% over the last 12 months.

Do you monitor your servers?
Yes. We monitor the servers and the services on each server on a 24 x 7 basis.
Can I request additional POP mailboxes over and above the quota included account?
No. You need to upgrade a larger account to get more POP3 accounts. You will only be able to add additional POP3 accounts to the largest of our hosting options.
How do I set-up or change my email account?

Do you support catch-all mailboxes?
Yes. Catch-all mailboxes are not enabled by default.
I can not open the attachment attached to my email, what should I do? I can see the attachment in the email, but it is greyed-out, what should
To resolve this problem please do the following:
* Open Outlook Express 6 and click on Tools then Options.
* Select the Security tab.
* Remove the tick mark next to '' Do not allow attachments to be saved oropened that could potentially be a virus ''.

Why I'm I getting the error: '553 sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts'?
Our mail servers requires POP before SMTP authentication:
You have to "authenticate first" on our servers by getting your mail (POP), then the mail server opens a "Relay Window" for you during which you can send email using the SMTP server.
When this window is expired, you will see your outgoing mail bounce back to you with this error. Solution: Hit your "Get messages" or "Check mail" button to reopen a new window, and resend your message.
Note: To relay using SMTP, you need to enable it in the mail client. In Outlook & Outlook Express, check the box saying "My Outgoing Mail server requires Authentication" under the servers tab in the properties of your Mail account. In Eudora, check the "Authentication allowed" checkbox under the SMTP server name.
How long does it take for my autoresponder to be activated?
Autoresponders usually start to respond to emails, within 10 minutes after being activated.

I get a "Page Not Found" error when I attempt to go to the Control Panel.
If you have a firewall on your machine or are attempting to access the control panel from a network, with a firewall that is blocking access to port 8443, you will receive the error this error.
How can I bypass all cache servers?
Adding a question mark (?) after the URL that your are requesting, will cause all caches to fetch the updated page, since they will assume that you are accessing dynamic content. e.g. "http://www.anthosting.co.za/?"
How long will it take until I can upload my web pages to your site?
You will be provided with your FTP access details and FrontPage access details in your set-up information. It will take 36+ hours from when you placed the order for domain name propagation to complete.
Do you offer unlimited bandwidth?
No. We offer un-metered bandwidth and do not bill for bandwidth used. There exists no such thing as unlimited bandwidth. All bandwidth is limited.
I am using Windows XP and cannot connect to the FTP server. What is the problem?
Microsoft has made the decision to enable, by default, the built-in firewall in Windows XP. The Internet Connection Firewall (ICF) is automatically enabled when you install Service Pack 2 (SP2) or later.
How do I disable the Internet Connection Firewall (ICF) on Windows XP?

We have found that some clients use fonts on their computers, which blurs the difference between a 0 (zero) and a O (uppercase ohh), as well as the difference between a l (lowercase el), I (uppercase eye) and 1 (one), to name but a few examples. All our passwords consist of 9 characters, of which 2 are uppercase characters and 2 are digits. The rest are lowercase characters.
I have problems with my username and password, what can I do?
We recommend that you copy and paste the username and password from the email into a text editor, like Notepad for instance. This is to prevent you from copying any additional spaces. Then you should copy the username and password from the text editor into the program as required.

How do I pay for my hosting?
The charges applicable to your account will be deducted via debit order.
When will the first payment be deducted?
The first debit order will be on or shortly after the 1st of the month following the month in which you subscribed. If our debit order system has been closed for the current month, the first deduction will be on or shortly after the 1st of the second month following the month in which you subscribed.
Will you only bill me once my website is active?
No. You will be billed from the date you apply.
How can you bill me if I have not uploaded my site yet?

What happens if my debit order is returned or rejected?
You will be sent an email asking you to settle your account in 48 hours. You will need to deposit the returned amount together with the admin fee. You account will be suspended should you fail to settle the outstanding account. The outstanding amount will be debited from your account on the next debit run and your account will be instated shortly after that if the debit is successful.
I forgot to submit a cancellation and want a refund as I have not been using your services?
We have had to allocate space to you on our servers and that unfortunately incurs costs.
If a change occurs to my contact or banking details, how do I ensure that this is updated?

Creating Email Addresses
* Log into the C-Panel with your username and password.
* Click on your domain name e.g. (anthosting.co.za).
* Click on the 'Mail' button.
* Enter the first part of the email address in the 'Mail name:' field. e.g. 'sales' when creating the email address sales@anthosting.co.za.
* Click on the 'Add' button.
* Select the 'Mailbox' option.
* Enter a password in the 'New Password:' field and the 'Confirm Password:' field.
* Click on the 'Update' button, at the bottom of the form.
* You have just created your email address.
You may now logout or add another email address. You are also able to redirect your mail to a different email address. You may also activate autoresponders, if they are supported by your hosting option. All this is done via the Control Panel.
